Carnival court
Each year a Carnival Queen and (usually two) Princesses are selected to represent Great Dunmow at Carnivals all over Essex. This tradition started over 60 years ago with our first Carnival Queen, June Brown (nee Devoil) in 1951
Our 2025 Court Members:

The Carnival Court will represent Great Dunmow at 8 carnivals across Hertfordshire and Essex throughout the summer including:
• Braintree
• Maldon
• Whitham
• Witham
• Clacton
• Wickford
• Great Dunmow
• Burnham on Crouch
